A graduate of Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) with the Master of Divinity, Jay Wise is a member of IWU’s administrative and adjunct faculties. Currently, he serves as Off Campus Library Services Liaison to Wesley Seminary as well as Reference Librarian for the university’s Non Residential College of Adult and Professional Studies. As an adjunct instructor, Jay has taught the Foundations of Lifelong Learning, New Testament Survey, Themes in Biblical Literature, and Western Civilization Courses.
Jay also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in History from Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College and the Master of Library and Information Science from the Kent State School of Library and Information Science. He completed additional graduate courses in Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky.
Jay, his wife, Beth, and their sons, Noah and Nathan, live in Marion, Indiana and attend Brookhaven Wesleyan Church. Prior to coming to Marion, the Wise family attend First Wesleyan Church, Chillicothe, Ohio, where Jay served as a volunteer Pastor, substitute Sunday School teacher, and volunteer for The Loft, First Wesleyan Kids’ fourth and fifth grade student ministries.
